will be getting off to a flying start for 2003 when we perform at the opening of the Jazzathon this Thursday, the 9th of January at 12h30 at the Amphitheatre in the V&A Waterfront.

This prestigious 4-day event has become a bit of an institution in Cape Town, as it runs annually at the V&A Waterfront, and the Jazz Workshop Biggish Band has been asked to open the festival this year! W'e'll be sharing the stage with stalwarts such as Jimmy Dludlu, Hugh Masekela, Amampondo, Virtual Jazz Reality, Errol Dyers, etc ... more info at www.jazzathon.co.za .

In the mean time, to get your juices flowing, here's a recent pic of the the sax section,
with David Poole making a guest appearance, live at "Jazz in the Park".

Other gigs lined up for the year include a monthly perrformance at the High Street Theatre in Durbanville, on the last Saturday of each month, starting at the end of January, and we're set for another run of gigs at the Independent Armchair Theatre a bit later in the year, following the successful stint in 2002.

And here's to a good year for you too!
