FMR Campaign Launched at Artscape 'On the Side'

The Jazz Workshop Biggish Band's is very happy to announce the start of a partnership with Cape Town music radio station Fine Music Radio 101.3

This partnership is geared towards greater exposure for both the JWBB and FMR 101.3. Accordingly the JWBB will be known as the FMR Jazz Workshop Biggish Band, and will be marketed by the radio station as their official representative on the South African music scene. The JWBB's policy of playing only original charts and arrangements of South African standards fits squarely with FMR's role on the South African music landscape.

To launch this campaign the JWBB performed at the Artscape 'On the Side' Theatre on Fiday July 18 for an invited audience of media representatives and some of FMR's radio personalities.

The JWBB is an amateur Big Band based in Cape Town, and lead by trombonist Jannie 'Hanepoot' van Tonder
The JWBB plays original compositions written for the band, as well as arrangements of South African Jazz standards.
